Trade Your Games – Games for Cash
Trade Your Games is a fairly new and unique website that allows you to sell used or unwanted console games for cash or credit that can be added to your account and used to buy used games off their site. As far as we are aware they are one of the only sites on the Internet that replicates the same same system that the second hand gaming shops do on the high street. However on their site they state that they will pay up to 40% more for your unwanted games and consoles than on the high street.
Instead of letting your unwanted and completed games gather dust on your shelf you can quickly and easily sell them on the Trade Your Games site, then use the cash to buy preowned or new games from their site or have it sent to you by cheque or bank transfer.
Things You Need to Know Before Selling Your Items
- They currently buy old games from consoles including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP.
- As well as used console games they will also buy console systems and Blu-Ray movies.
- Only UK discs are accepted
- All console games must be sent with the manual, original case and instruction booklet. Any received with the instructions then 25% will be deducted from the selling price.
- You have 7 days to send in your unwanted games after you have placed the order.
- You can check the status of your order at any time by registering your details and logging into your account.
How to Sell Games for Cash at Trade Your Games
- Pop along to the Trade Your Games site here
- Use the search box to find prices for the items you want to sell. You can search either by the name of the game or the bar-code number printed on the back of your game box.
- If you are happy with the price on the screen then simply hit the ‘sell now’ button to add the item to your basket. Repeat this process until you have all the items that you are selling in your basket.
- Once you are ready to proceed simply go through the checkout process and send in your items using the address that will be e-mailed to you.
- Once your old discs have been received they will be rigorously tested and the cash will be credit to your account. (They aim to test all discs within 24 hours of receiving them) If you wish to withdraw the cash straight away you can do so via cheque for a £1 charge, bank transfer or Paypal. Alternatively you can use your money to put towards preowned or new console games or systems from their site.
